Silverlight is a duo with Ella Wolfe on guitar and vocals, and Mike Spellman on bass and vocals. They play jazzy Americana-style music featuring a clean, simple sound with rich vocal harmonies.
Ella and Mike have been music partners for over 10 years performing primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area where they formerly resided. Over the years, their musical journey has taken them across a wide variety of musical styles ranging from jazz standards in cabaret rooms and smoky nightclubs such as San Francisco's Society Cabaret and Feinsteins, to pop-rock dance concerts, big band swing, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s era revues, and even Broadway hits in musical theatre (garnering several nominations for best actor and actress in the Contra Costa County area).
Ella and Mike have recently relocated to Nevada County and have quickly grown to love the beautiful landscape, friendly people, and rich music scene. The region’s star-filled night sky was the inspiration for the name Silverlight. As they continue to become established in the area, you can find the duo playing at local farmers markets, restaurants and wineries. They also hope to build interest in their all-time favorite performance venue...house concerts!
